Hi, I’m Meeka Singh. Owner and Operator of Safe Harbor Residential Care Home. My passion for caring for the elderly can be traced back to pre-professional days. Whether volunteering at the local nursing home, while in high school or spending my summer caring for my grandmother, who had knee surgery. I’ve always been on the elderly care track from the start.
With my educational background of a degree in Health and Science Broad Field and Business Management, coupled with 12 years of caring for veterans with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, and Veterans Benefits Administration. Safe Harbor Residential Care Home is a perfect fit considering my education and professional background.
Outside of work, I’m a mom and wife. I treasure spending time with my husband, our two teenage children, and our rescue dog Kaya. My husband and I enjoy being in nature, from walking the paths around city lakes to hiking the north shore. If it involves nature, we’re there for it. We also enjoy cooking together (cheesy, I know), but we truly do.
Currently, I’m taking a few nutrition classes on topics such as eating to reduce pain and inflammation and eating to speed up your metabolism; at a local health and wellness center. I’m so excited to take what I’ve learned and incorporate it into the daily lives of our residents.
